Amanda Good
Barre&Baby Teacher Highgate
Amanda is American, but has spent the last decade in the UK, after having lived on both the east and west coasts of the US.
After a 15 year career in business consulting and finance, she has decided to return to one of her greatest passions, dance. Amanda started Barre & Baby classes almost 4 years ago when she had her first daughter, Daphne. She was re-inspired to return to ballet and spread that love to her daughter. However, the world of finance in central London beckoned, and it’s only now, with the birth of her second daughter, Sylvie, that she has decided to use this maternity leave as a time to dance as much as possible.
Amanda will be running her classes in her newly built studio, which is an extension to her house in Highgate. While there are so many wonderful classes in north London, there is nothing for mums-to-be or mums who really love music and want to dance.
Amanda’s beliefs:
“Great dancers are not great because of their technique; they are great because of their passion” – Martha Graham
“For me, to enter into motion is to enter into meditation” – Maurice Béjart
